Into The Valley (Estonia)

In 2015, an Organisation called Music Goes Further came up with the concept of colliding arts and electronic music together in a club tour called Into Episodes, an idea of bringing people together under the same flag of pure visual and music honey, all over the world. The first initiative was in Sweden when in 2015 the Into Episodes introduced a music festival called Into The Valley. The festival took place in the scenic location at the outskirts of Rattvik – Dalhalla. Deep in the forest, the venue is known for its acoustic properties as the main stage is in a huge pit of a result of a mining project back in the 90’s. The first Into The Valley had some local artists and included some serious dance music heavyweights lining up like Dixon, Âme, Tale Of Us, Ricardo Villalobos, John Talabot, Adam Beyer, Nicolas Jaar, Four Tet and many more. The first event was a total success and followed with the second year in the same location – getting more recognition and developed into a more immersive experience for all attenders.

ABOUT INTO THE VALLEY

The DNA and the concept of the festival is all based on seven key principles – each one is equally important to fit the vision. These seven principles are:

Unique Locations – Environmental surroundings reinforce the musical experience.

Advanced Electronic Music – being able to work with up-and-coming talent, established artists and true legends.

Pioneering Technology – Using the best technology in an exciting way is key for creating that special feeling at the festival.

Innovative Art – Intensifying the experience with pieces of art installations.

Food and Bar Architecture – Every bite, sip, nibble or taste is carefully developed in accordance with the location’s soul, ambition and context.

Holistic Awareness – Creating a feeling of Togetherness, Intimacy, Peace, Love and Harmony.

Social Equality – Everyone has different roles, and everyone’s important in their own way, but no one is better or more important than anyone else – We are all equal.

This year on June 29th to 2nd of July, Into The Valley series takes you on a journey to Rummu, Estonia, a location that has never seen an event of a like. The location is an abandoned soviet labour prison surrounded by a lake of crystal clear water, these mesmeric settings are perfect for the festival to take place as Mattias puts it – “When I first saw Rummu Quarry, I knew which artists would fit in here. It’s about syncing the music feeling with the environment to enhance the whole experience of the site” with concluding, “nobody will be disappointed”.

The area will fit even more people than before as the location will be bigger, offering not only prison grounds but a beach stage just outside the prison besides the water, so folks could splash around and cool off occasionally. The prison itself gives out vibes of mystery and spookiness, taking the visitor back in time far from reality, which only adds to the enveloping all in all experience.

This year the line-up will as astounding as ever for the Into Episodes, with 69 acts in total including local and international DJ’s and artists. Be prepared for an intense electronic music venture as the line-up guarantees sets from people who know what is best for you. The Line-up will consist of names from the big league like the innovative Innervisions label owner Dixon, as well as increasingly respected woman -Black Madonna, The live performance of the jazzy Canadian duo Cobblestone Jazz, legendary Jeff Mills, KiNKs’ known phenomenal performances that will feature Rachel Row, the Ukrainian prodigy Nastia, Label R&S owner Renaat with his long hypnotic set, Ricardo Villalobos, Axel Boman, Nina Kraviz, Scuba, Sailor & I, Rodhad and many more.
