Oasis Festival 2018 adds Honey Dijon, Denis Sulta, Peggy Gou, DJ Koze, La Fleur and many more
Oasis Festival 2018 announces Phase Two Lineup for this year’s event. This most authentic African experience mixes rich local culture and customs with world class headliners who offer tasteful soundtracks from a diverse array of genres. The latest wave sees Pampa label boss, inventive house producer and curveball selector DJ Koze play. A true deep house pioneer in Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers then lines up to play one of his critically acclaimed live shows hot on the heels of his first new album in 25 years, while Rhythm Section International man and Radio 1’s new music specialist Bradley Zero will play back-to-back with the colourful Dekmantel regular Sassy J. Multifaceted American DJ Python also brings his big boom-bap beats, and Ninja Tune’s Romare will serve up one of his party starting DJ sets.
House business comes from Amsterdam’s Detroit Swindle and Watergate resident La Fleur, with Ninja Tune artist and globetrotting breakout star Peggy Gou proving a mix of house, techno and disco. Next to these, Chicago originator Honey Dijon brings her well informed selections, Rinse FM radio host Jane Fitz always digs deep and Phoenix G label boss Mr. G plays live and always lays down dubby house that will keep you dancing for days. Add in Morocco’s Amine K who will do a B2B with Denis Horvat, Swiss star Deetron, the much talked about Denis Sulta, a DJ set from Maribou State and more from Malik, Gideön, CC: Disco and Bassam and you have an exciting musical picture that mixes old heroes with new stars. These latest names come on top of previously announced names such as Actress B2B Mount Kimbie, Avalon Emerson, Carl Cox, Derrick Carter B2B The Black Madonna, Jessy Lanza, Nastia, Octo Octa, Paula Temple, Rødhåd, Tim Sweeney and William Djoko, with yet more acts still to be announced.
Oasis Festival 2018 has decided to return to its roots this year. As such the party is moving to the blissful Fellah Hotel, where the first edition took place and plenty of happy memories were made. The stunning location, complete with pools and palms trees, lush gardens and giant cacti, not to mention a new layout and an extra stage, is an exciting move that proves Oasis Festival is always keen to subtly evolve and adapt.
In case you don’t want to leave Oasis Festival, you might be in luck this year, as plans emerge for a very special afterparty that will take you deep into the Sahara desert for an extra night or two. Soundtracked by very special guest DJs (to be revealed soon!), it will be a chance to decompress and then have one final, magical dance in what is set to be a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Keep your eyes peeled for more info coming soon. Oasis 2018 will take place from 14th – 16th September 2018. 3-day festival tickets from 180€ are on sale now.
