After Movement Electronic Music Festival, Detroit recently revealed that Richie Hawtin will play his new audio and visual concept CLOSE during their 2017 edition, the techno pioneer himself disclosed more information about it. Richie Hawtin explains it as a concept where “Spontaneity & Synchronicity explores the relationship between human creativity and innovative technologies that able artists to express themselves. Using intimately placed cameras this man-machine relationship unfolds onscreen in real-time. CLOSE will bring you, the audience, closer to me and my creative process live on stage.”
Richie Hawtin will perform as a series of cameras generate real-time abstractions on a screen during the show that’ll illuminate his live show in a whole new way. The official debut of CLOSE will be in April during Coachella music and arts festival, followed by performances at Movement Detroit, Vivid Live in Sydney, Primavera Sound in Porto, Creamfields , Melt Festival, Bonusz in Budapest and other.
