Karrusel Festival 2025 Highlights: The Music, The Magic, The Moments

Karrusel 2025 once again took over Refshaleøen and turned it into Copenhagen’s most playful dance floor. From the carousel spinning next to the main stage to Arkaden’s bumper-car rave floor, every corner had its own vibe. One moment you were lost in hypnotic live acts, the next you were caught in a wall of hard techno — all stitched together by a crowd that came to dance, not just attend.

Performances that defined my Karrusel Festival 2025 highlights:

Paul Kalkbrenner (Live)

When Paul Kalkbrenner hit the stage, time seemed to stop. His soaring live show sent waves of euphoria rippling through Manegen, each drop a spark that set the crowd alight. And when “Sky and Sand” rang out, thousands of voices rose with it — pure collective magic.

DJ Heartstring

A carousel ride for the soul. Heartstring brought trance-drenched euphoria under neon lights, and the crowd danced like they were levitating. It wasn’t just a set, it was a release — one of those rare moments where every beat felt like joy itself.

Daria Kolosova

Relentless, raw, and ferociously hypnotic. Daria Kolosova owned Arkaden with a techno storm that shook the floorboards. No frills, no pauses — just high-voltage energy that had the crowd locked in and loving every second.

HVOB (Live Club Set)

A breath of beauty in the chaos. HVOB’s live set washed over the crowd like a dream, full of atmospheric builds and haunting vocals. It felt like the forest itself was swaying along, a moment of intimacy amidst the madness.

DJ Boring

Anything but, DJ Boring lit up Tribunen with groove-laden house and endless feel-good energy. Warm, playful, and impossible not to move to — their set was pure sunshine in the middle of the night.

Final Words

As the lights dimmed and the last bassline faded, Karrusel 2025 left Copenhagen with more than just ringing ears — it left stories. From HVOB’s hypnotic live journey to Paul Kalkbrenner’s sing-along moments, and from Daria Kolosova’s relentless techno to DJ Heartstring’s euphoric trance cuts, the weekend proved why Karrusel isn’t just another festival. It’s become Copenhagen’s late-summer tradition- intimate, playful, and impossible to forget.
