Four Tet shares new single, ‘Into Dust (Still Falling)’
Four Tet has shared a new single, ‘Into Dust (Still Falling)’. Released via XL Recordings, the track is available digitally and on vinyl with an exclusive screen-printed t-shirt. Listen below.
The producer, real name Kieran Hebden, has been playing the track live for a few years now, and it has become highly coveted among fans. As the title suggests, the track is built around a sample of ‘Into Dust’ by ‘90s dream pop duo Mazzy Star. A bit of a cult hit among fans, the track appeared on Mazzy Star’s second album, ‘So Tonight That I Might See’, along with their biggest hit, ‘Fade Into You’.
The new release follows the recent announcement that Hebden has collaborated on an album with “cosmic country guitarist” William Tyler. Four Tet also recently contributed to a collection of remixes of The Cure’s ‘Songs of a Lost World’ titled ‘Mixes of a Lost World’.
Hebden will also appear at Glastonbury this year, amid a lengthy run of live shows that also includes two nights at Alexandra Palace in November and dates in the U.S., Europe, and South Africa.
