Bonnaroo 2025 cancelled due to severe weather

Bonnaroo was cancelled this past weekend due to extreme weather conditions just one day after the festival started.

The Manchester, Tennessee weekender, scheduled for Thursday, 12th June through Sunday, the 15th, came to a halt at 1 PM on Friday, the 13th when sets were suspended and certain central areas were evacuated, Billboard reports. The rest of the event was officially called off that evening when an updated National Weather Service forecast showed “significant and steady precipitation that will produce deteriorating camping and egress conditions in the coming days”, their Instagram statement said.

“We are beyond gutted, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo”, the announcement read. “…Some of your fellow campers’ sites are in rough shape. The rain has settled in areas and made certain parts of Outeroo difficult to manage. We’d like to prioritize getting those folks as well as those with accessibility needs off The Farm as soon as possible this evening.”

The festival team closed out the message: “We have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year, and cannot express how crushed we are to have to make this decision.”

Thursday’s Bonnaroo performers were led by Luke Combs, Dom Dolla, Insane Clown Posse and Rebecca Black. The remaining weekend programme included Tyler, The Creator, Justice, John Summit, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, Hozier, Vampire Weekend and Queens of the Stone Age.

This past weekend also saw Manchester’s Parklife festival shutting down early due to concerns of overcrowding on 15th June.
