The concept of the Outline Festival emerged in 2009 in the center of Moscow, Russia an event organized by Arma17, embracing several club stages and different art exhibitions. A significant event which lasted two days in 2014 celebrated the festival’s name for the first time taking place on the Moskva River. Bearing in mind that 2014 made the festival renewed, it was 2015, which brought to the fore its real fame.
A merger between Sila Sveta, a visual production company, and the film collective Stereotactic happened, and the festival grew to be a 48 hour long dancing marathon in which day and night melted into one lasting extraordinary artistic experience.
Daniel Avery, Nastia, Nina Kraviz, and Nikita Zabelin are only a few of the names of the main stage, connected to the last year’s event. All artists were on three outdoor stages and two indoor arenas. The abovementioned played in the MAIN room, a warehouse where every guest would feel welcomed and comfortable. There were five live acts in the DARK room, an atypical box-like stage made of concrete, where eventually the presence of claustrophobia would be felt. The remaining stages were the DEPO, WOODZ, and the SUN. What the visitors experienced last year in terms of the location, was a harmless, exquisite disorder of the East Moscow area.
Festival art at its best
Candle light illuminating the black crows kept in cages or in different random positions across the stages, a waterfall skeleton and nowhere leading ladders, symmetrical lasers dancing to the rhythm of the beats are only a few of the features characterizing the last year’s event.
If we take into consideration the overall description, the Soundclique Team truly believes that the expectations for this year are even greater, although the details are still not known to the audience.
