During day-time ADE was held at De Balie allocated specifically for the conferences.
Today ADE attracts more than 365,000 festival goers to the city Amsterdam. With over 2200 DJs playing at 300 different shows in over 80 clubs it is a pivotal event of the year. A quite interesting and alternative approach considering DJ’s being from different parts of the World, showing their native food and cultural differences, all coming together as friends having a good time. In 2015 Kölsch won the award in the ADE‘s annual DJ Cook-Off.
As part of ADE’s calendar of events is also the Official DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll. In 2016 ADE packed the suitcases and traveled to SXSW in Austin, Texas USA, where together with Red Light Radio hosted an Electronic Music Showcase, including San Proper, Dollkraut, one of Demkantel’s founders Casper Tielrooij as well as Red Light Radio’s founders Hugo and Orpheu the Wizard.
